Mitsubishi OUTLANDER recall R2034810 & R3024833

Possible loss of drive recall
Recall affects Mitsubishi OUTLANDER
Reason for recall: As a result of incorrect machining of the oil seal installation aperture in the transfer cover by one of the transfer box suppliers it is possible the oil seal may move from its intended position in the casing. This can result Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) passing from the main gearbox into the transfer casing causing the ATF pressure to drop which will result in poor shifting and the illumination of a warning lamp on the instrument panel. Also as the oil level in the transfer box increase it can leak out from the transfer box breather pipe onto the road surface. In the worst case scenario the vehicle can lose all drive.
