Volkswagen Sharan hesitation

when i start my car from cold and select reverse on my driveway it will start moving then stop for a few seconds then go. then i select drive and again it will stop for a few seconds and then go again this continues at junctions, traffic lights etc until ive been out in the car for a few minutes then its ok.. any suggestions please?

Could be engine coolant temperature sensor .

where is the coolant temperature sensor located and how will i know its faulty, or do i just replace it and see what happens... thanks richard..

ive changed the coolant temperature sensor but the problem still there, ive been told that it could be the air flow meter could this be true, before i go out and get one of these aswell.....

ive changed the air flow meter, the problem still there, dosnt feel as bad though any other ideas plz.....

ive also been told it could be the auto transmission oil either lack of or needs replacing and filter too...
