My car has started shuddering very heavily on the steering wheel when i brake heavy. Especially down hill

Hi I think you have warped brake discs. If you feel the shuddering through the steering wheel this is going to be the front discs.

It shouldn't cost too much to change them, I'd highly recommend you get the pads changed at the same time.

Could be anything from brake pads , brake discs , susp. / bushes , steering joints worn etc. etc .Need to get it check out .
