Volkswagen Polo breaking noise

i had front and back breaks done in october and now sometimes when breaking i can hear a 'clunking noise' any one know what this could be? also the handbreak light doesnot always work?

the clunking noise could be where the brake pads are loose in the caliper,take the wheels off and make sure the pads are`nt loose in caliper,if they are they might need to have shims fitted,take it back to where pads fitted and get them to have a look for you

Is the noise coming from front or rear ? The noise may from some where else apart from brakes i.e susp arm / bushes , susp.strut mountings , coil spring etc . You would really be better to get it road tested or checked out to identify where noise is coming from .

when im driving the car and start to brake i hear a knocking noise from the driver side. it sounds like somthing is loose but i checkd all the bolts and retightend them. it still makes that nosie.HELLLPPPPP
