Volkswagen Polo intermitent battery issue

Car: Volkswagen Polo
Variant: 1.4 SE TDI blue motion technology
Model Year: 2016
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Battery has gone a few times with no real reason. its happened twice in the past few months.

After running fine its broken down in the middle of traffic.
When stopping at traffic lights the stop/start turned engine off. When trying to restart the low battery warning comes up and unable to start the car again.

No issues showing when battery recharged and seems to hold its charge again ok?

VW garage are looking at it but have no idea why its doing this... hoping someone on here has had the same issue!

Just because it charges doesn't mean it is good.
Only real test is "loading" it.
This is placing an artificial load on the battery and checking it then.
Just placing a meter on it and checking voltage is next to useless.

With a car of that age , better leaving to the VW garage to fix under the warranty .No doubt they will be in contact with the factory technical side to find a resolution to this matter .Do not do anything yourself as it will invalidate your warranty .
