Volkswagen Polo lumpy on tickover

when warmed up it runs lumpy as though it missfiring not coming up with any more faults put new spark plugs and 1 coil pack and a new front lambda sensor and cleaned up around throttle butterfly but still running lumpy it revs up ok no missfire and checked for any air leaks around inlet manifold but could not find none can you please tell me what else it could be ? thanks jason

you really need to code read it, faults can still be stored even if the management light is off, also if you have not cleared any faults it can also affect the running

try a compression check of all cylinders and compare the readings it might be low on one cylinder

HI IT IS LOW ON COMPRESION NUMBER 1 READING WAS 5 BAR NUMBER 2 10 BAR NUMBER 3 9.5 BAR NUMBER 4 7 BAR I PUT SOME OIL DOWN IN NUMBER 1 AND COMPRESION READING WAS 10 BAR SO DOES THIS MEAN IT NEEDS A NEW SET OF PISTON RINGS EVEN THOUGH ONLY DONE 39500 MILES ? OR IS THERE SOME PRODUCT LIKE HOLTS PISTON SEAL THAT WILL WORK OR ANOTHER PRODUCT IF YOU CAN LET ME NO MANY THANKS ?
