Sounds about right, are you fitting it yourself as its quite an involved job?

BE WARNED
I have had dealings with a failed clutch on Passat Saloon 1999/2000 reg. at 89,000 miles. This vehicle along with other Passats and Audi's is fitted with a dual mass fly wheel. If this is worn, expect a BIG bill, possibly over £1000, Car may be worth less than the cost to repair.
Moral of this story, if you have any modern car fitted with a dual mass fly wheel, don't ride the clutch or you will be faced not just a new clutch but also a new fly wheel.
