Tony 811926 ,
The answer I have given is correct and I have no need or desire to increase my post count as you insinuate .The flashing glow light is indicating that the ecu has detected and logged a fault , which could be many possible causes . " injector failure is imminent " is rubbish . From a VW forum ,
"A flashing glow plug light can be attributed to several conditions, most likely a burned out brake light or two and a defective brake light switch. (There are recalls for those switches, depending on the model year "

Why isn't this in the owner's manual? I think I looked on every page for what a blinking glow plug light means! I was a little afraid that it might be serious. Oh well. 2 new brake lights appear to have fixed the problem. "
There are many other similar replies elsewhere on different VW forums confirming what I said , but we must all be wrong and you are right .
Having been on here for years ,answered thousands of questions and been thanked by many , I dont need your childish comments on how to reply .Random questions ????? I dont know how we managed for all those years till you came along .I have no desire to get in a slanging match with you as you seem intent on doing .Best wishes ,Whittingehame .I dont know what your problem with that name is also ?
