rear footwell drivers side flooding after a period of rainfall over a few weeks,not every time it rains I think it builds up over time

You need to strip out the carpet and dry it out ,quite a big job,or at least fold it back ,then water test the area to locate the leak,talcum powder could be used in order to trace it ,but you will probably find it,s leaking through the door panel.

Check front carpet also in case front bulkhead drains / plenum chamber blocked and leaking and water running to back..

thanks for ur tips,couldnt believe the amount of water cascading out after clearing drains
