Accelerator problem

I have recently bought a VW Golf 1.6 TDi mark 6 diesel (2012) from a local VW dealer, and find that sometimes when taking my foot off the accelerator, the engine speed stays the same or speeds up slightly, this in particularly disturbing when approaching a corner, I took the car back to the dealer who took it out for a test, and of course nothing happened, they put it on the test machine without result., this usually happens in 3rd gear or above, but has happened in 2nd. it feels as if I am accelerating away when my foot it completely off. any help please would be appreciated. thanks Michael

I'm surprised at this,
VW diagnostics are normally very good,
there are literally pages and pages of fault code definitions.
That said if it isn't doing it when tested and doesn't exceed the parameters for flagging a code then there will be no a code recorded.
Frustrating for all concerned.
See if the dealer can run a "flight mode function test".
This is where diagnostics are plugged in and stay in to record any running issues.
On mine it's recorded on to an SD card.
But as stated if all parameters are within VW specs it would show the same as the dealer,
Zip.
Might be worth contacting VW UK to see if they are aware of this situation and maybe have a software update for it.
