Volkswagen Fox light (road speed) clacking noise from front of car when under power, stops on overrun.

Sounds like a driveshaft possiblyfailing or something touching on one of them. Gearbox is totally normal and noise not louder when steering on lock. Any thoughts? Thanks, John.

Every chance it's a driveshaft c/ v joint , needs checked for wear to verify or not .
