Vauxhall Zafira my engine management light is coming on and the garage are saying that the computer says air leak detected. ?

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Variant: 1.9 SRI Diesel
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Leaks & Noises
This car has been a nightmare. I replaced the DPF filter in February along with the EGR valve. I had to put in a new alternator 3 weeks ago and now the Engine Management Light is back on and saying Air intake. The garage took off all the pipes and cleaned them and put them back on but the light is not going off. Any ideas what is the problem?

Hi,
When the engine is running, get some WD40, spray this at the engine, if you detect a change in the engine noise then, if speed ups, a rubber pipe could be suspect,If put on a diagnosetic machine it should pin point exact problem.I'm not saying your garage is wrong, but try this, it's an easy start, then work your way through the pipe work, you may be able to identify the problem.
Hope this is of some help.
