Vauxhall Zafira engine managment light stays on...

try a new coil pack mine was the same as yours but mine its fine now

took it garage and they said it was the egc valve, i think thats what it was called

i had two egr valves since xmas and it was still the same then i called the rac out and they told me it was my coil pack and its been fine up to now touch wood

how much will a coil pack cost me, and how long will the egr last me?

I had a similar problem with my Corsa. Engine kept reving by itself when standing still.

Vauxhall replaced the egr valve and all seemed fine....for a couple of months and then it started all over again.

I discovered that the earthed battery wire (the end attached to the car) was loose and with the engine running, any slight movement in this wire caused the engine to rev. Since tightened, the problem has never returned.

Might be worth a look before shelling out on repair costs.

Sorry, but not sure on price of a coil pack myself.

i got a coil pack for 77 pound and a friend fitted it and that was new from euro car parts and drive vauxhall wanted 240 for one it prettyy east two fit it has four screws and a lead unplugs and then just plug the new one on and screw in back on

hi my light has just came on today had to the garage and its the catalytic converter so they say so going to try that and see what happens will let you know
