Vauxhall Zafira clicking noise when taking foot off accelerator

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Variant: 1.6 club
Model Year: 2005
the car dont make no noises while my foot is on the accelerator but as soon as i take my foot completley off its there! i normally notice it when im goin slow below 30, any ideas? this has been goin on now about 4 months!

Could check for worn engine mountings .

On the Insignia this is caused by the airfilter mount that is a rubber bush that slides through a locating ring. Particularly when the engine is cold it suddenly 'pops' through the mount rather than slide through it. The solution is to lubricate it with some vaseline or something so it always slides nicely.

It may apply to the zafira - or may be it's a similar problem.
