Vauxhall Zafira loss of power following cold start

When i've started the car for the first time, it starts perfectly, but on moving off, pressing the accelerator initially has no effect,then it revs up and thens loses power and then revs up again. if I do this a few times the engine starts to behave properly and is ok for the rest of the day.
any ideas?

coolant temp sensor?

Engine coolant temp sensor is a common cause of this fault , worth checking .

engine light on and when starting from cold tickover rises to 1500 revs and constantly moving and if you move off before it has settled it looses power.

get a diagnostic done to check what fault codes you have

Check for any air / vacuum leaks .
