Vauxhall Zafira bonnet release not releasing

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
I cannot open my bonnet! when I pull the bonnet release lever it feels as there is absolutely no tension in it at all -if you waggle it about a bit and to the side slightly you can get it to pop but it is very hit and miss -any suggestions?

How do you fix a broken Zafira bonnet release, or open the bonnet manually?
The bonnet release on my 2000 (x reg) Zafira pulls all the way with no resistance so I guess it is snapped, how do I open the bonnet to fix it.......

i work at a vauxhall dealership, im not a technition but alot of models have the same problems. Technitions normally, get someone to keep the bonnet catch pull when you got to the front of the botton and gentlry push up and down on it and it sometimes pops up on its own, it will be the cable but in some cases just lube up the catch on the inside with white greese

when you get the bonnet open you will need to adjust the cable and lubricate it with wd40
