Vauxhall Zafira very slow pulling away and going up hills.

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Variant: 1.6 manual
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When pulling away it is very slow. You give it more power and it just over revs the car and takes ages to get it up to speed. Also when going up hill you try give it more power up the hill and it just over revs and not speed up very slow. The car has no extra weight. Only driver and possibly 1 passenger. There are no warning lights on and oil been checked and is middle of max min levels. Any idea please. When on main roads and up to speed the car is fine just pulling away and hills where car struggles.

As "mr suzuki " suggests , clutch slipping and needing replaced . Take his advice re. quotes on new clutch assembly ,could save quite a bit .Don't know if any specialist clutch centres near you which are usually cheaper and quicker in most cases .
