Vauxhall Zafira engine cutting out when going over 50m.p.h

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Variant: 1.6
Model Year: 2000

Please can you help?

I have a vauxhall zafira 1.6 'W' reg.
It keeps cutting out when it goes on the motorway doing over 50 mph. It has been in the garage so many times getting work done on it - so far:

new spark plugs, new coil pack & new fuel filter.

Also had it on the computer system to see if it would show anything up but it didnt. The engine management light is also not coming on to show a problem. Then we have had a vauxhall speciilist looking at it and still cant find anything wrong with it.

After all the work has been done it is still cutting out. Its becoming a nightmare.

Please help me!

try removing the fuel pump the gauze filter on the pickup may have become partialy blocked. the pump should be in the fuel tank. if filter is ok poss the pump may be worn
