Vauxhall Zafira water in footwell

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Variant: 1.8 elegance
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Leaks & Noises
checked the car and in the passenger footwell there was alot of clear water. pulled up the carpet and more underneath at least 5 litres. checked the door seals all appear in order. The water was clear and clean and tasteless. Checked all the other carpets and could find no other signs of water. No obvious signs of damage to the door or underneath the car. Any ideas or soloutions.

Could check corners at engine bulkhead , water drains there can get choked causing water to build up and enter car .

Just remembered , check drains for sun roof also (if fitted )

If vehicle has a/c check to make sure drain is not blocked. Also check door membrane on nearside

Runners, did you resolve this problem. I have the same issue except it seems only to be the drivers side footwell. I have checked that the drains either side of the skuttle are clear and draining away nicely. Only thing worth noting is that the trim along the bottom of the windscreen is loose. (But I am told it is not intended to provide a water proof seal anyway, the windscreen is apparently bonded to the car to give a water tight seal) The skuttle itself looks to be in good condition (no rust) and looks well sealed. No water can be seen draining down into the engine bay under the skuttle.
