Vauxhall Zafira high pitched noise

Model Year: 2006
When idel and the engine is warm I can hear a high pitched whirring noise it will stop sometimes stop when I hit the accelorator but not allways any ideas please

Look to see if the noise is coming form the alternator the bearings can run dry if so just put a bit of oil on it.
