Vauxhall Zafira Control indicator (car & spanner) light comes on - engine electronics?
2004 Vauxhall Zafira Problem
The control indicator light (spanner & Car) light comes on and the vehicle loses power - the handbook say "emergency running programme". It did it once when very new and the dealer found no fault - now 60k miles later it has started doing it.
Switch off ignition and it seems to re-set but later the light comes on again and power is lost. Any thoughts please

You will need to get a diagnostic scan carried out to see what codes are shown and what is triggering the light .

Thanks again! It turned out to be the Exhaust Gas recycling Valve. Easy to fix but not cheap. Car running fine now.
