started 2 days ago, oil light flickers faintly on tickover,slightest increase in revs puts it out, will not flicker when driving, oil level fine, no noise, no smoking and no lack of power, did a 300 mile trip yesterday, constant 70-75 mph motorway driving, no problems, stop car feet off pedals flickers, again slightest touch on accelerator and light goes out, anyone come accross this before

Could be a weak oil pressure switch . If not been done for a while , a oil and filter change , using a good oil might help also.
