Vauxhall Zafira idle problem

Can anyone help with this 2007 zafira 1.6 fitted with the z16xep engine. Idle speed surges between 8oo 1200rpm otherwise car seems to drive ok. No engine management light on and no fault codes registered.Have tried fitting new sparkplugs although the engine does not misfire and checked all breather and vaccum hoses for leakage and drawing air

Try disconnecting MAP sensor and see if engine alters .
