Make sure you are getting fuel up to filter and out again the other side to feed injectors . If not you will have to prime the filter and then bleed again .

Yeah it does sound as if you have an air lock you will have to prime the system up to get all the air out,if the vehicle does not have a pump you can easily purchase a small primer pump which has a one way valve to stop run back this is what you will need to bleed the system.

I have an opel which is in fact the same as vauxhall Zafira diesel 2L
turbo.
225 k on the clock , always serviced. Broke down mechanic says injector joints all replace and the pipes. Run for a dau or two. Started with a jump start and easy start in the air intake.
Now nothing. I'm thinking fuel pump is there a way I can varify its working ok.orwhat else, any suggestions would be appreciated as its in exellent condition.......just won't go.

Would it be worth putting a whole new engine in?

I would appreciate any constructive suggestions
