There are three valves two by the battery and one by the brake master cylinder, i think one isn't working how do i check it when here are no warning lights on the dash.I have had the car plugged in and no faults came up the car drives like its only firing on three cylinders the one i thinks faulty controls the egr valve. Can it be stripped or is it sealed.

hiya the valves are sealed and all the same type if the turbo one is working (one by itself) it should move the turbo wastegate lever as the car starts (wee lever on the turbo prob under a heat shield) you should get a good supply of vac upto all the solenoids when the car is running but check wee black pipe to the turbo solenoid has not rubbed through under the big black pipe from the air box if you vac supply is poor take the pipe off on the servo (N/S end of the head tucked underneath) it comes out the servo pump as a wee brass elbow, if you have a poor vac supply there youll have to change your servo pump, if your vac supply is ok itll prob be a solenoid or two. if you put some good diagnosic kit on it and drive it youll prob see what the prob is on the live data.
Happy hunting
