battery was draining after around 24hrs of not being started.auto electrician couldnt find any prob. changed battery and still same prob. noticed now funny smell and alternator smoking

If you have a dud cell in battery it wont hold a charge .The funny smell could be the battery gassing .If alternator over charging , it will cook / knacker battery .Get alternator output and battery tested .Simple 5 mins test .If all o.k , check for a parasitic drain .
