Vauxhall Vivaro wont atay running after running out of fuel

Car: Vauxhall Vivaro
Variant: 1.9 cdti
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
I ran out of fuel because my gauge is intermittent. Tried turning over before getting more fuel with nothing. Put 20litres in...tried again and it will oy run if you carry on using tge primer. As soon as you stop pumping the primer it cuts out. Ive cracked s all injectors and got the air out. But it continues to be the same. Any ideas??

You must have air in it ..Try priming filter and getting it to run using easy start and it might suck out air . Then crack injectors if needed when cranking / running .
