Vauxhall Vivaro accelerator

When I start up the engine I have no revs when i press the accelerator cable it just ticks over.

That wil be because it doesn't have an accelerator cable,it's got an accelerator position sensor that feeds the pedal position to the ecu,not that I'm saying this is faulty,a number of things can give your symptoms.
all of which costs,don't screw around or it'll really cost,get it code read first!
I,ve had these in with previous work done and a bucket of new parts only for me to find it's a short circuit.
Even a dealer code read will save you in the long run.
