Vauxhall Vivaro just stop working after driving it

Hi there, could anyone help with my problem please!!! I have a 2003 vivaro, we were on the way back home had been driving for about the last 15 minutes then the fuel light came on, we got to a garage we put £45 in fuel, got in and when turning the key it is turning over but not firing up I then had to trailer it back to work, any ideas what it could be, I had thought that it could the immobilizer in the key it's got to be electrical I just can't think what else it could be, any suggestions would be greatfuly received , many thanks Amy

Have you put the correct fuel in? If you think it,s the key transponder you could try your spare key ,see if it starts the car.or is it possibly dirty fuel,Other than that you would have to check for fault codes.

Yes i have put the correct fuel in!!!! Don't have a spare key, and there doesn't appear to hav any warning lights on the dash thank you

Possibly dragged dirty fuel into the system if the tanks been low causing a blockage,or dirt into the fuel filter,If your fuel hose is the clear type I would check this to see that fuels running through.Just thought of the incorrect fueling as we get it all the time and iv,e nearly done it myself.
