Vauxhall Vectra engine bloody management!

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Variant: diesel
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi Folks,

I'm really hoping someone out there can give me some help on this problem.

On most journeys my engine management light comes on once or twice. It usually (99%) comes on when decelerating, it will then stay on for at least a couple of minutes and tends to go off when deccelerating again.
When the engine management light is on it goes into limp home mode (as it should) and at all other times it's fine.
Added to this the engine sometimes refuses to turn off even with the key removed, and will only stop when deliberatly stalled.

The car has been into three garages, one a Vauxhall dealership, all with no success.

Any thoughts on this will be greatfully received!
