smoke can be caused by many things if its blue smoke it means the engine mechanical area piston rings valve stem seals etc.
if the more common black smoke it means poor mixture....injectors....timing/sensor problems.
id start with a leak off test...
1 disconnect injector leak off hoses
2 connect injectors to measure bottles
3 run engine for 3 mins
if more than 20cc leak off injector faulty
note..if you dont understand this process dont do it injectors are dangerous if you disconect the wrong pipe serious damage could occure a garage that knows wot its doing will charge about an hour max for this process.
