Vauxhall Vectra life expectancy for timing belt

I have just bought a 52 plate vectra that was registered in 2003. it is a 1.8 club 16v. it has done 54k miles. i want to know the lifespan of the timing belt?

i think its between 36-40,000 miles or 4 years

What mileage has your Vectra done? Not advisable just to change the belt as it's usually the tensioner that is the weak point. If it has done starship miles then it's advisable to change the water pump at the same time.

For reference, Vauxhalls official cambelt change recommendation for the Z18XER engine is 100,000 miles or 10 yrs (whichever comes sooner)
