Vauxhall Vectra engine management light

my other half did my rocker cover gasket yesterday which was fine but when he came to come home he started car up and em light came on it wont rev over 4000 revs any idea what could have caused this?

Possibly cam sensor ? not really sure on that car .

Dug this out re .camshaft sensor , could refer to your year model ?


Where is my cam sensor on my vauxhall vectra b?

Hi, your cam sensor an a petrol vectra b is under the rocker cover the bit where it says ecotec remove this panel and u will c the spark plugs remove all the bolts from the rocker cover and u will have to remove the top half of the timing belt cover to access the cam sensor it is inbetween the cam pullies.

with the fault you have said its going to be the cam sensor at fault here as the previous guy has said check and replace or just check the connections just to be sure
