The heating/air conditioning system on my vectra is not working on settings 1 - 3 (its works on setting 4 the highest setting for both heating and air con). I have checked the fuse and no joy I noted the advise on another posting regarding the relay but did not understand it - any advise most welcome.

Sounds like heater resistor pack needs replaced , common fault .

yes heater resistor fault,cant remember exactly where it is mounted it will either be near the interior fan motor or in the air intake pipes inside the car possibly passengers footwell behind glove box,it will be rectangle shape with a multiplug on it
