Usually caused by aerial/ earthing ,quite common on that car and also Astras .This confirms it,

this is normally associated with a badly earthed aerial, check the aerials connections at the aerial mast, it can sometimes also be down to corrosion or dirt ingress where the aerial mounts to the body. if you have a spare aerial lying around try that,(just plug it in the headunit, if the noise is no longer present then either repair or replace your original aerial). seen a few like this,(mainly astra's).

I think it was in 2004 models that they changed it and also used amplifiers.
