Vauxhall Vectra car juddering once warm rev counter flickering, then will only go to 4.5 revs

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Variant: 2.0 sri
Model Year: 0000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi can anybody help.
I have a vauxhall vectra 2.0 sri (2000) great car for the last year however. Now once the car has been running for 15 or so minutes it starts to judder and the rev counter starts to rev up and down without the engine then it cuts out. I then re start the car, the engine management light is on and the car will only rev to 4.5 thousand revs. prior to this problem the diagnostic light came on for the same issues I took the car to a garage where once plugged in to the diagnostic computer it came up with the air flow meter which i had replaced straight away this has not fixed my issue and it is still doing the above.

What should i do?
If anybody knows can you give your reasons and experience as I do not want it to start costing me hundreds if not thousands or is it worth getting rid of which i do not want to do as the car itself is great.

hi there, sounds like a throttle body, idle air control valve(IAC)problem. have the throttle body removed and cleaned. same for the IAC valve. also after these have been cleaned, check to see if any whistles are present around the intake manifold to head gasket. These do have a habbit of leaking. give that a go!!! hope this helps!!
