Vauxhall Vectra engine management light

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Variant: 1.8
Model Year: 1998
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
OCCASIONALLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO ABOUT 20 MPH OR LESS THE STEERING WHEEL GOES STIFF AND THE ENGINE CUTS OUT AND THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT COMES ON. I START THE CAR AND THE LIGHT GOES OUT AND CAR RUNS NORMAL.

I HAD A SIMULAR PROBLEM WITH MY OLD ASTRA AND IT WAS A FAULTY KEY FOB, COULD IT BE THE SAME?????

had similar problem on a vectra some time ago and was to do with an idle control module, have you had a diagnostic check on the car? It can also be a breather pipe blocked on the engine aswell.
