Vauxhall Vectra keeps breaking down
Model Year: 2002
about once a week our car keeps breaking down, we have to leave it for about half an hour then it suddenly starts working again as normal. Been taken into garage but all the tests come back that there nothing wrong with it.

1st thing to check is coil pack 1 item or 2 or 4 if 1 pack this could cause fault and wouldnt show up on diag equip (coil pack on top of plugs check if one unit or multi?

Much the same is happening here - it will run for a while but sometimes doesn't start and have to leave it for an hour or more. Garage visits so far inconclusive. More recently the engine cut out on the road and wouldn't restart. Any ideas?

further to last message, it turns out to be defective fuel injector pump. Replacement part and labour about the same value as the car...
