Vauxhall Vectra whining noise when accelerateing

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Variant: 1.9 cdti
Model Year: 2007
Sounds like its coming from altonator area / cam.
It gets loader the more accelerate

I'd take off the belt a give the inside ribbed area a good eyeball.
then check all the pulleys for spin noise and free play.
