Vauxhall Vectra service light comes on whilst driving

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Variant: 2.0 dti
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
JUST HAD CAR SERVICED AND MOTD. WAS DRIVING TO WORK THEN THE SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON THEN THERE IS A LOSS OF POWER. ITS DONE IT SEVERAL TIMES SO I JUST PULL OVER SWITCH THE CAR OF THEN START AGAIN. AND THE CAR SEEMS TO BE REALLY SLUGGISH IN SEVERAL GEARS. BUT WHEN I WAS DRIVING TO WORK THE NEXT DAY I GOT TO ABOUT 65 THEN PUT ON MY CRUISE CONTROL AND THE CAR SERVICE LIGHT DIDNT COME ON. IT ONLY DOES THIS WHEN IVE GOT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR.

PLEASE HELP AS THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

THANKS

its probably got a problem with the throttle pedal as it it most likely to be fly by wire so no real accelerator cable between the pedal and the pumpso no need to move when on cruise
