Vauxhall Vectra dash light's and instruments problem

All the dash light's come on, all electriacl functions continue to work but main instrument display i.e. speedo,rev, conter, petrol, etc cuts out. tends to restart when switch ignition back off and on. engine runs fine when this happens.

Could be cluster fault .
