Vauxhall Vectra car cut out and slugish

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Variant: 2.0DTI
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi just took the car for a m.o.t today and all was fine.

Done some runing about in it and tonight went out again.

On way home she took a while to turn over which is not like her.

Driving down the road she just cut out no warning or anything, on the way out the EML came on a few times and she got a bit slugish I found I had to dip the clutch and rev her hard to keep her going.

She wouldn't start after cutting out I got the AA out and they got it going by bleding the fuel system, he's advise me to get it looked at by (poole diesels) as he said he thinks it might happen again.

Could the reving of the car though the m.o.t or reving of the car to stop it cutting out have casued this problem?

Any help on this please.

Cheers Rusty

rusty---get the codes read first, could be a number of faults. Have this done at a garage or specialist. Will make the repair time shorter and cheaper in the long run.
