Vauxhall Vectra interior light and instrument lights not working

if it sometimes works i check wiring earths and for any evidence of damp in or around fusebox and other components

Thanks for the advice. I checked these things that u suggested. Couldn't find any evidence of water damage. Is there anything else that it could be?

perhaps have I've been a little vague. Sorry about that. I changed a fuse (no.22) for the cigarette lighter. This worked fine. But after that, the instrument light stopped working completely as did the interior light. But also the heater now switches itself off when any of the doors are opened. This seems really strange... Can anyone help me with this please??????

If the problem has occured since you changed the fuse i would go back to the fuse box and see if you have disturbed any other fuses, don't forget to check they are all ok aswel

Hi, had the same problem on my Vectra Elite, Iv'e only had it a week and noticed the glove book light not working, turn ed the bulb was not seated properly, but while I was positioning it it caused a spark,and the same thinks happened to me. The fix is simple, check fuse number 12, battery overload according to the manuel, should be a blue 15 amp, I replaced it and all works fine again, let me know how you get on
