Vauxhall Vectra lights come on on their own when parked up

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Variant: 2.0 diesel
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi, i parked my car up last night and when i went to my car this morning my front headlights were on, even tho they were not switched on inside, i took my car for a drive and parked up and left my car for 30 mins and when i returned all my lights were on?? they are automatic headlights but why are they doing this when my car is parked up and locked with no key in ignition and does this in broad daylight?
i did hit a pot hole last night and had to change my wheel as i got a puncture, other than that nothing has gone wrong?

Dont know what year your car is , but you could try switching off auto lights and see if that stops them coming on , though they should not come on with key removed .If so could be a fault with switch / sensor .
