Vauxhall Vectra clicking sound on not starting...

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Variant: 1.8 SRI
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi all,
Please can anyone help? Car starts perfect most times, now and again (twice this week) wont start, just a clicking noise.. Had to grab some random guys and ask for a push.. :( is this alternator or starter motor? Or something else.. Hate going to the garage as I swear they see me coming and rub their hands together on my approach..;) I cant tell where the clicking is coming from, with the hood up it sound like it's coming from all over the engine bay..:@
Please can anyone advise.. Battery checked and was tiptop :)

CHECK THE STARTER MOTOR, REGULATOR, ALTERNATOR, LOOSE CONNECTION ON THE ABOVE, BUT CHECK YOUR BATTERY AN CONNECTION.

MORE THAN LIKELY THE STARTER MOTOR, IF IT'S BEEN PUSH STARTED AND POWER HAS NOT DIED AFTER SOME TIME DONT THINK IT WOULD BE THE STARTER MOTOR

Sounds like it's the starter solenoid clicking .Check all connections / wiring at starter , solenoid and all earth cables .
