"putt putt" or tractor noise from engine when ticking over, disappears at speed.
I thought it could be a dirty spark plug or something, but the dealership are saying they want £100 to check the codes + lift it and if it is what they think it is then it's £500 or something.
ideas?

You dont say what engine in car . Could be injector seals .
