Vauxhall Tigra boot won't open

Model Year: 2006
Rocker switch won't open boot when engine is on only beeps. I have to take the key out fully and then it opens from the boot

Doesn't help in answering when you start two posts on the same problem . If you search Vauxhall Tigra section you will see this has been covered many times and plenty of suggestions there .
