1. Verify roof and boot are in as fully closed state as possible.
2. Close the A-pillar roof latches.
3. Remove the negative earth lead from the battery terminal to disconnect the power supply.
4. Wait 30 minutes for the roof ECU to reset.
5. Reattach the negative earth lead to the battery.
6. Open the latches and use the roof switch to close any remaining actuators (you will here the beeps to say the roof closing process is complete)
7. Close the roof latches again.
8. Repeat steps 3,4 and 5.
9. Roll windows down then back up - the system should be in a ready state.
10. Try using the roof using the normal procedure.
Notes: Be careful closing the door when there is no power. The sash windows will not lower when the doors are opened.
Normal diagnostic hardware will not work but specialist diagnostic tools will check the hardtop codes. Op/Vaux-com and GMTech2 have a specific section to deal with the 'Electro-hydraulic hard top' in particular.
