Vauxhall Tigra squeaking noise from rear wheel

Car: Vauxhall Tigra
Variant: 1.4 sport
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
After braking my rear driver wheel makes a loud squeaking noise when I start driving, it only makes the noise after braking and when driving slow ie around the town.
I've had it with the mechanic twice, he's removed the wheel and cleaned around it and put new brake shoes on but it's still making the same noise.
Can someone please help me

If you've cleaned it and changed the shoes its probably the drum. and make sure the shoes are not too tight against the drum...

would be good to check if your mechanic used copper greese on the backing plate where the shoes touch too

Hi,

I have just purchased a Tigra 1.8 Exclusive, I have noticed a very loud screeching noise coming from the rear wheel when I have gone over speed humps or bumps in the road, not speeding, going very slow. I have spoken to the garage and all they have said is that it is where it has been standing for a while and just needs to be driven.

Any other suggestions would be grateful.
