Vauxhall Senator clutch switch

Car: Vauxhall Senator
Variant: 24v CD Manual
Model Year: 1993
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
How do I gain access to the clutch switch as it's buried right at the top of the clutch pedal on the pedal box.Would I be able to reach down to it if I took the instrument cluster out?
I can actually see the rear of the speedo when i look up from under the pedals, I'd rather not bite the bullet and have to remove the whole pedal box.The switch is visible, the white plunger in the centre of the switch is missing.Im trying to get my cruise control working,I've replaced the cruise control brain which works guaranteed.
The switch I've got is a brand new part NOS.
